• Web Service provides storage space and bandwidth for your web site
• E-mail Service provides storage space and delivery service for your e-mail accounts

DNS Service

Would you operate your business without a listing in the phone book? DNS is essentially your public listing service for your web site and e-mail.

Many providers will include DNS service as part of a web hosting package, but this approach has several drawbacks. First, DNS service may not be the core business of that hosting company, and the service itself may not be entirely reliable. If your provider’s DNS service isn’t working correctly, people won’t be able to find your web site or send you e-mail. Second, hosting your DNS service with the same provider as your web and/or e-mail service limits your flexibility. Should you decide for whatever reason to either change providers for web or e-mail, or host those services yourself, you now require the cooperation of your provider to accomplish that.
